Kirsten Wander

Kirsten Wander grew up in Downers Grove, Illinois. She attended the University of Iowa, majoring in History and Religious Studies, and was a captain of the women’s soccer team. From there, Kirsten attended the University of Denver Sturm College of Law for her Juris Doctorate degree. During her time at the University of Denver, Kirsten was a board member of the Diversity Advocates, and Vice-President of the DU Outlaws, a group working for LGBT rights. In addition, she acted as director of an inner city summer camp, Chicago Scores, which uniquely focuses on both soccer and creative writing.

Having many amazing relatives live into their 90’s and even 100’s, Kirsten feels blessed to have them present in her life. Her grandmother was a very special lady. When she passed away, her estate was a mess because of poor planning. While the family untangled her grandmother’s affairs, Kirsten became aware of the positive effect she could have as an attorney to avoid such a time of personal crisis for others.

Kirsten is licensed to practice law in Colorado, and is a member of the Colorado Bar Association’s Trust & Estates, and Elder Law sections. She practices in the areas of estate planning, probate, and Medicaid.

In her spare time, Kirsten loves spending time with her family, taking advantage of all that the Colorado mountains offer, running, and traveling.
